Choice. This word can ignite a political firestorm.

We don’t have a lot of choices about much, but a fundamental place we have control of the choices in our lives, is the space within our skin.

We can, and probably should, release the need to control the choices of those around us.

As the last couple of weeks have shown me, my control is very limited.

I can choose to control my thoughts.

I can choose to control my movements.

I can choose to control my actions.

I can choose to control my reactions.

Everything else? Above my pay grade.

I can only make the choices that are within my own skin.

I hope these affirmations help us remember to make our own choices.
