March 22 - I Am Becoming

Along with last week’s affirmations and the ones from the week before, this set of affirmations is to help us take steps towards more fully integrating affirmations into our minds, to believe them and believe in them more fully, so that they can help our minds to help us.

The March 8th affirmations, “What if…?” helped us to begin imagining the lives we are creating through our affirmations, and how scary..and wonderful…that life will be. My hope was that, by thinking about, by imagining “what if?”, we could begin to see the life that we want as it unfolds before us. Visualizing how our best lives can manifest in the best way possible. Feeling the fears that we might have about our affirmations as they come true. Those fears, those anxieties, can be wonderful guides for us to see what we are afraid of having, or afraid of losing.

The March 15th affirmations, “I am learning”, aimed to tap into our ability to learn, so that we can become something new, or someone new. Or most likely, to learn to become more of the person we want to be.  To help move us toward believing in those affirmations that we desperately want to be true, but can’t quite believe are true. Acknowledging that we can learn to believe in the truth of those affirmations.

This week, we are taking another step. This step, we are going beyond acknowledging that new life, that new person. We are acknowledging that we are becoming that new person, with that new life. We are acknowledging that we are becoming that person that we want to be.

Again, this might be a tough one. It’s definitely provoking some anxiety within me! But I hope that, by stating who we are becoming, by acknowledging that life we are acquiring, by affirming who we want to become, we can continue to get closer to our best life.
