May 2 - Connection
Humans have a need to connect. With each other, with our community, with ourselves. Each of those connections may look very different from one another, but all are necessary for our mental and emotional health.
Connecting with each other might look like a quick text message to a friend, holding the door open for someone, or just a quick and sincere smile.
Connecting with our community might mean helping a coworker with a task that’s not related to us, volunteering at our spiritual community, or working with neighbors to improve the neighborhood.
Connecting with ourselves might mean resting when our bodies say we need it, eating food that our bodies need to function well, or simply sitting quietly and letting our inner voice be heard.
That might be the most important connection of all – with ourselves and our inner voice.
Let’s embrace our connection with each other and within.
