June 20 - Inspiration
Inspiration can drive us to amazing heights of creativity and success. We depend on it to motivate us to do what we need to do, and sometimes even what we want to do. It can lift our spirits, and give us a much-needed push to better ourselves.
But inspiration can be a crutch.
It is notoriously unreliable. One day you might get a million ideas of things you can do and be and say. The next day? Nothing. It’s like the well has run dry. And if you depend on inspiration to get you going…well, let’s just say that you might find yourself stuck in one place often.
Inspiration can be great, but we can’t rely on it to show up when we need it. That’s why it’s important to find inspiration in everyday life. A walk outside. Meditation. Art and music. A conversation with a good friend. Watching kids play. All can be amazing sources of inspiration when you feel your creative well is running a bit low.
Inspiring yourself is your responsibility. But finding inspiration can be as easy as opening your eyes.
Let’s embrace everyday inspiration.
