August 21 - I Release Self-Sabotage

We sometimes get stuck in cycles we didn’t consciously choose. We put off our dreams. We talk ourselves out of taking the next step. We “forget” to set the alarm for an important phone call. We say we want more, yet we keep resisting the “more” we say we want. We procrastinate. We keep doing research. We put it off until next month, or next year.
We sabotage ourselves. Over and over again.
It’s really hard to make choices that will change our lives. Our brains are so used to our current lives, and change is very, very scary. It’s an evolution thing - what’s new is dangerous.
It’s difficult to get around it, but we can do it. We can give our brain what it needs to stop resisting the change we want. We can keep reminding ourselves that we are safe, that we can make good choices, that we are worthy and worthwhile.
And gradually, we can release self-sabotage.
