Day 18 - I Release Guilt

Can we talk for a moment about guilt? That heavy feeling that you carry in your chest. That voice that tells you, “You should’ve done this,” or, “Why didn’t you do that?” You know the one. We all have it.

And - it sucks.

And - it doesn’t help us. At all. Not even a little bit.

It doesn’t help us grow. It doesn’t help us heal.

It just keeps us stuck in the past, replaying our mistakes over and over again.

Releasing our guilt means reminding ourselves that we’re human, and we make mistakes, and we make up for those mistakes as well as we can, and we learn the lessons of those mistakes.

We shouldn’t forget the mistakes, or ignore them.

But, we can forgive ourselves.

We can heal.

We can release the guilt, and give ourselves grace.
