Day 25 - I Release Masks
1/25/20251 min read

Are you wearing a mask? No, it’s long past Halloween, and yes, COVID is still around.
I mean the invisible masks we all wear. The ones we put on to fit in, to please others, to hide our true selves.
The masks that get heavier and heavier over time.
The masks that get harder and harder to put down, because others think they’re who we really are.
The masks that keep others from knowing who we really are.
The longer we wear our masks, the longer we deny the world the chance to know the real us.
Worse, we deny ourselves the chance to feel seen, loved, and accepted for who we truly are.
Releasing our masks is terrifying - and liberating. By letting our masks go, we finally say, “This is me. I am enough, just as I am.”
We drop the pressure to be perfect, we stop trying to meet impossible expectations, we let our quirks, flaws, and dreams show freely.
We start living fully.
I hope these affirmations help us to let go of our masks, and connect to who we truly are.
