July 31 - I Release Self Harm

Self-harm comes in many forms. Maybe cutting ourselves, maybe over-exercising, or under-eating, or overworking, or any of the millions of ways we can cause ourselves harm.

It usually means we’ve been carrying way too much, for way too long.

Maybe we can try something new. Maybe we can try holding ourselves with compassion. Maybe we can try being kind to ourselves. Maybe we can try a little patience.

We’ll take steps forward, and we’ll take steps backwards.

But, over time, we’ll find ways to feel safe, and whole, and loved.

And maybe even healed.

I hope these affirmations can help us find our way.
